My Sweet Roommates

I don't think I've ever posted anything about my current roommates other than a picture I put up on the side a few days ago.  So my roommates:  I was a little worried about meeting them at first.  They're both from Vegas and neither looked LDS (I creeped their Facebooks...It's fine).  When I actually started talking to them though, they seemed pretty great.  It turned out that Lisa was LDS, praise the Lord!  She sounded really excited about coming to school and even more happy that she'd have someone to go to church with (me too).  Amanda isn't LDS, but she's still awesome.  I quickly came to learn though that Lisa wasn't active, furthermore she had decided that she was agnostic.  It was kind of weird to hear that.  I mean, how could someone know the gospel their whole life and not believe it?  It still blows my mind.   But apart of me believes she knows it's true because she said she'd go to church with me if I didn't want to go alone (my ward is all freshman since I'm an RA and I thoroughly do not enjoy it, hence I go alone).  Anyway, they're pretty awesome.  It's crazy how quickly we bonded even though we're all pretty different.  Lisa was your typical high school cheerleader, but I quickly learned she was so much more than that.  She's smart and loves to read and write; her major is English.  Amanda was someone without a stereotype.  She loves the Nightmare Before Christmas, but isn't "one of those freaks."  She's insanely driven and has so much going for her it's crazy.  She's double majoring in Biology and Nutrition with minor in Chemistry (yeah.... she's kinda crazy for that I guess).  Me, I'm just a simple and plain girl with a love for life and a want to enjoy every second of it.  Either way, we all like the same music which is definitely a blessing.  However, what we believe in faith wise has been getting used to.  My roommates drink and party and have sex and swear.  That's their decision, and it's always fun to hear stories, but my least favorite swear word, is their favorite word in general.  The F word.  Now at first I was okay with it getting said because it wasn't being said at me and really it wasn't hurting me.  But no joke, I hate that word with a passion.  So finally I said something.  I told Amanda I wouldn't say "pussy" (I don't even say it but she doesn't like it) if she wouldn't say the F word.  It's worked out pretty great.  She still slips up and says it in front of me, but its pretty funny to watch her change it.  She'll say something like "She's so ******** dumb.  I mean REALLY stupid..."  I laugh, but I appreciate her trying.  Lisa on the other hand is a different story.  No word bugs her so she kinda just says it, but they've definitely toned it down and I respect that.  Seriously though, they're great.  We all share our boy drama and they know all about me.  Every mistake I've made and every bad thing I've said.  I believe they were put not only on my floor, but in my apartment for a reason.  I love them and hope they know I'm always there for them, because they're basically who I spend a lot of my time with.

We kinda realized we all had no pictures together so one night we took a bunch and thought we were real funny.  Enjoy!
