Comparison

So I was reading a friend's blog and she did a comparison of her last year and herself now.  I've decided to do the same.

This is a picture from last year.

And this is from this year.

Also, I just noticed, but it's the same skirt in both pictures, so the good news there is: I'm the same size still!

Last year, Andrew was almost home from his mission.  This year, he got to spend Christmas with us!
Last year I was finished with my first semester of college.  This year,  I've finished three AND got my associate's degree.
Last year, I was dealing with my alopecia pretty badly.  This year, it's gotten better and yet worse.  But overall it's probably better than last year.
Last year, I didn't have a direction with my schooling.  This year, I'm a declared nutrition major.
Last year, I was struggling with the church.  This year, I'm closer than ever to the gospel.
Last year, home was still Bountiful.  This year, home is Cedar.
Last year, my favorite color was purple.  It still is.
Last year, I hadn't experienced a lot of things.  This year, I have, and it's made made me all the stronger.
Last year, my closest friends were Emi and Des.  This year, they're Kate and T.
Last year, I could still pay my way through the next semester.  This year, my parents are helping A LOT.
Last year, I had AT&T.  This year, I have Verizon.
Last year, I didn't talk to my grandparents as much as I would have liked to.  This year, we talk lots!
Last year, I was afraid to say somethings.  Now, I'm not afraid to say what's on my mind.
Last year, I was thinking more about marriage and the temple.  This year, it's on my mind, but not anywhere close to the surface.
Last year, I pretended to be engaged to Andrew.  This year,  I wish he knew I really love him.

It's crazy to think that some things stay the same while others are ever-changing.  I'm still the easy going, chill, down to earth person I've always been, but there are lots of things that are different about me.  I'm growing up and I love it!  I can't wait to do this same thing next year.
