Family Dinner

So I didn't really have dinner with my family tonight, but it was definitely a family dinner.  And it was oh so good.  Bree and I made banana chocolate chip cookies today and decided to take some over to the bishop and his wife.  We got there and started talking with his wife.  She was working on cooking dinner for the missionaries and then invited us to stay with them.  It was a delicious meal and I'm so grateful for it!  I love having home-cooked, sit down meals.  It seriously makes me so happy!  The missionaries are just so wonderful too.  Elder Murri also shared a thought at the end.  It was a story I had heard before, but a nice reminder all the same.  He talked about the statue in Germany of Christ that was missing hands but the plaque beneath it said something along the lines of "you are his hands."  He related it to service and how when we serve others, whether it be a smile, compliment, or something bigger, that we are only in the service of our Heavenly Father.  It was such a lovely Sunday evening, and although we both looked grungy in our sweats and t-shirts it was still a fun night.  I seriously love how great my new bishop is and how much they really do love us as young single adults in their ward!
